Founder Liz Berwick

Liz Berwick has been running Simply Scrumptious Cupcakes since 2010 from her Staffordshire kitchen and teaching cupcake decorating classes and sugarcraft modelling for a decade. She set up Liz Berwick Cake Academy to fulfil a growing need for online tuition and work-at-your-own-pace courses. Her passion for baking stems from when she was a little girl and would eagerly await her Nan's fantastic home-baked treats. " I was always creative in the kitchen and loved to spend my free time baking and cooking for the family". Liz is a passionate foodie who loves to use seasonal and foraged ingredients. During her classes she enjoys sharing her tips and tricks on how to create perfect bakes every time in her accessible down-to-earth style.

How does Liz's Baking Club work?

Every month you can join me for a virtual bake-along where - step by step - we will line tins, prepare ingredients, and bake together. You can tune in at a time that suits you, pause and rewind the videos too. As a member, the whole bank of past recipes and videos will be available for you to access. Liz also includes some professional hints and tips for you to experiment with your baking too.

Cooking and baking together is a wonderful, fun and sociable activity where you can learn together in the comfort of your own home, and share the delicious bakes at the end too! If baking with younger children, you can pause and rewind the recordings to suit your pace. Older children and teens will be perfectly capable of following the recipes independently if they wish too. Should you need them, I'll share with you adaptations for gluten-free baking and there will be some dairy-free and vegan recipes to try out too.
