Founder Liz Berwick

Liz Berwick has been running Simply Scrumptious Cupcakes since 2010 from her Staffordshire kitchen and teaching cupcake decorating classes and sugarcraft modelling for a decade. She set up Liz Berwick Cake Academy to fulfil a growing need for online tuition and work-at-your-own-pace courses. Her passion for baking stems from when she was a little girl and would eagerly await her Nan's fantastic home-baked treats. " I was always creative in the kitchen and loved to spend my free time baking and cooking for the family". Liz is a passionate foodie who loves to use seasonal and foraged ingredients. During her classes she enjoys sharing her tips and tricks on how to create perfect bakes every time in her accessible down-to-earth style.

Liz studied at Aston Business School and ESSCA Angers and went on to join the corporate business world, first in Paris and then in the UK. With a diverse professional background: from working in an advertising agency, corporate banking and retail it took Liz a little while to turn her true passion- baking - into a career. "Now, after 11 years running Simply Scrumptious Cupcakes under my belt, I'm excited to be helping other bakers who want to follow their dream of running their very own cake business too",
